I've had similar probs on my 01 SE. I'd get hesitatation on starting. On rare occasion the car would stall on initial starting. I've taken it to the dealer a few times. They've fixed a couple of things:
1) Found a software update
2) Replaced the PCV valve
I still notice the problem on rare occasion, but less frequent than I used to.
The dealer says it's gas related. The two Saab dealers in town had a Saab engineer come out to Portland a couple weeks back just to look at cars having this problem.
The dealer says that Saab currently won't pay for them to tear apart an engine looking for the problem. If a car has been to the dlr with this problem and the dlr can't fix it, then Saab will supposedly pay for the dlr to tear apart the engine to solve the problem (whatever that means) if it still exists after the gasoline changes in fall. Thus, Saab believes the problem will go away when gas changes back to winter gas.
Having said all that, being that you're dealing with a newer car than mine, your problem might be different than mine in some way.
