Well, JPW, as someone who has both a modded and a stock car I can tell you that there is a smile that gets spread across ones face when you add a new part, stomp that pedal, and blast past some unsuspecting rice-rocket. Not everything to do with modding has to be chromed out bling. The 3" JT exhaust on my 9000 is actual less noticable than the stock tail pipe. Of course, the sound is a lot louder, but there are always negatives to go with the positives. One thing I'm really not into is show-only modifications. For example, rims that are heavier than stock just because they are bigger, or body kits, or wings. But for the things you can't really see (ie. computer, suspension, downpipe, bov or bpv) the world of customizing can be a lot of fun and make that already fun to drive car more of a thrill. Just my opinion of course and you are always welcome to your own.
