I hope everyone gets home safe and sound to their families and Saabs today.

I used to work in 1 WTC (101st to 105th floors) and have been anxiously awaiting word on how my old colleagues fared, but I fear what I'll hear. The first plane looks like it hit right around the 90th floor (there are 106). My wife only works a few blocks away from the WTC, and the falling debris, soot, ash, and tremendous explosions were quite frightening from her vantage point. And she had to stay in her building because when it all first happened, the stock exchanges were still planning on opening at some point in the day! Given the state of our cellular and land-line networks, I haven't spoken to her since about noon, but I'm sure she'll be okay when I get home -- except I'm stuck in New Jersey because the bridge from NJ to my home on Staten Island is still closed.

Sorry for the 'non-Saab' content, but I just felt like posting a little reminder about what's really important -- and right now that damn rattle somewhere in my passenger's side that I can't find is oh-so unimportant.
