Interesting from both a DIC perspective and how they go about conducting these investigations. Glad to see Saab has been working on this for a while. Amazed that this is such a challenging problem. Seems like it would have been cheaper to put in a more expensive part up front than replace so many in warranty. Too bad all the attachments are not available. I am curious as to what was finally changed in the hardware for quality package 4.5 which it seems is just about be available with a new part number. Maybe GM will change all the DICs for concerned owners. Just amazing that it is just as easy to be stopped dead in 2005 from a burned DIC as moisture in the distributor cap on an older car.
