I have an '05 Arc wagon, with 10000 miles. Purchased in November. Twice in the past week, the car sounded like it wanted to stall as I was starting it. Once, the engine was warm; this morning it was cold.
Because I was leaving to keep an appointment at the Saab dealer in Oudenard, Belgium, to replace a leaking water pump, I decided to throw in a question about the rought start.
His response: "Use 98 octane."
Well, I explained that this car is US spec, and 93 octane is SOP, according to the manual. As it is, I'm using 95 octane because that's what I get around here.
It has been wet recently. However, I had no problems during the winter when we'd get rain for a solid week.
I've search the BB for posts on this issue, but would appreciate any additional thoughts or advice. (To use as ammo when I'm told again that I have bad petrol.)
Thanks in advance.
