15 min. should be enough. I think that you should have them start with the spark plug update. Have you had the T7 campaign performed (ECU replacement)? In some cases, I've seen that a failed Trionic Unit will cause the car to run overly rich. This could foul the plugs, causing hard starting or a smoke-like vapor at start-up.
I would probably have your dealer check to see if all of the service campaigns have been performed. Your problem could very likely be as simple as spark plugs, or you could need the Trionic Unit replaced (T7 update). Your dealer can pull your service history over the phone (using your VIN #) and tell you what campaigns have been performed. At least this way you'll know where you stand.
