A bad/dirty thottle body could cause the symptoms. My '99 V6 had a bad one replaced around 55K miles.
Remember you have two DICs, so you need to know which one to replace. A dealer can check for misfire codes, and if there are lots of them, the cylinder number(s) will tell you which DIC is bad. I keep a spare in the trunk, just in case one fails completely (then it's easy to tell which died from the burnt aroma).
