Interesting comparision. The GM 3.8L Series II (95-05) is a wonderful engine. Its a 300K mi engine (except for the plastic intake manifold), with as few moving parts as possible. It is as refined as any pushrod V6 gets. Gets good gas mileage for its size and great low to mid pickup.
The Saab 2.3 lpt has alot of moving parts, poor gas mileage for its size in the City, good on the Hwy. It appears the 2.3lpt life is half that of the GM 3.8L. If the 3.8L has the fault of the plastic intake the 2.3lpt has the DIC....
