I haven't been posting much lately, our 2000 wagon has been fairly trouble free lately. But I did replace the DI cassette a few months ago after getting the fault code for misfire detected multiple times. Am I out of luck with the recall because I did my own repair?

A few other problems came up: ignition key does not "pop" up all the way when key is removed so car thinks key is still in the ignition. I tried silicone spray which helped. Does anyone have a better repair or spray lube?
Replaced rear brake pads (caliper) Took all of 45 mins to do both sides.

Kept getting the service theft alarm message. I followed the procedure to replace batteries. Thanks to this forum I saved $450+.

2000 Saab 9-5 Gary Fischer ed. wagon. 75000 miles and enjoying the car more and more.
