Dave - I can speak to this as I've been in Phx for years and running Saabs in Az for over 15 years. Yes, there is some hit to performance in the high temps - but I notice it less in my 9-5 and 9-3 than in my old 9000 or 900. Plus the A/C's in the 9-5 is lightyears better than my old 900 or 9000. It easly works in stop and go where my 9000 and 900 would start losing ground when it got over 110. With synthetics I've never lost a turbo in any of them - and I change hoses every 60k as regular maint given the conditions. I hope this helps - but the warm temps aren't a problem if you keep up on the car condition! We need more Saab drivers in Az!
Take Care,
Scott
