I have a persistent oil leak; been to the dealer 4 times. First timethey said they replaced a timing chain tensioner seal; second time retorqued headbolts; third time said no leak; fourth time retorqued headbolts.
Clearly the oil is leaking down from up top somewhere, although I cannot get a look at the head. I have jacked the car up twice before taking it to the dealer and removed the bottom skid plate to check the leak. The oil is all over the plate, filter, oil pan bottom and blows about half way back down the underside of the car. It's not until enough oil has collected on the pan until I could tell because I would *finally* see oil spots on the garage floor.
Dealer says nothing significant - if leak persists, they will have to replace the head gasket. The parts guy said to avoid that at all costs as "Saab's never go back together the same way twice". Veerry comforting, huh?
Anyone else have experience with this. Could the head be warped?
Thanks,
Mike
