You didn't mention how much you want to spend, but there were a lot of nice changes starting in '02. Specific to the Aero, they added sport seats, optional premium package that included xenons, rain sensing wipers, and half way through the year they added park assist to that package. The suspension got tighter, and there were many more little changes. The auto tranny went from 4 sp. to 5 sp. (I know you mentioned you want a manual). Can't think of other changes at the moment, but if you have the time to read this board, you will come across quite a lot of related info. As for trouble spots, the DI Cassette has been an issue for some, but it is being recalled in a few months so they will all get replaced. All the 9-5's now have an 8 year/100K mile warranty for sludge, but if you change the oil often it shouldn't be a concern. As you already know, this is a problem solving board so don't be scared. The 9-5 Aero is a great car, versatile, comfortable, safe, and fun! If you live in snow country you will definitely want winter tires :-)
Good Luck,
AeroLady
