I have used this product off and on for a few years, and although it does what it is advertised to do,I have found a problem with it that I wonder if others have noticed. The Rain-X appears to make the surface of the windshield so smooth, that the wiper blade can stop flipping over at the end of it's travel, and eventually ends up being "pushed" blade edge first, across the windshield, instead of dragged backwards. This usually happens after a film deposits on the windshield which i believe is the residue of the rubber that is being shed from the blade. This does not happen when the window is feshly coated with Rain-X, but after a few days and some use of the wipers. Anyone else have this happen?
During the time that I have abstained from using it on my windshield, I have discovered that nobody makes a better road debris remover for the paintwork then Rain-X. Bugs, road tar, grunge on the indide of your wheel wells etc. this stuff is great.
