Be careful about what you are doing. GS below is correct, and lowering the impedance for each channel will cause more current to flow into the crossover network and the speaker coils, which generally would translate to louder sound, but not always.
With these lower impedance speakers, you are causing the HK amp to work alot harder, ans may be even overdriving them, possibly causing damage to the amp itself.
You need to know what the HK amp can handle - I don't know what it would be, but its not infinite current.
Adding the .5 ohm resistor will relieve the amplifier some, but will cause power to be dissipated in the resistor as opposed to the crossover network and speaker coils where you'd preumable want it applied. The resistor can also add a damping factor to the sound which isn't always a good idea either.
Check the specs on the amp, if it says it can tolerate the lower impedance speakers, than use the fader to move more sound to the back as suggested. The .5 ohn resistor isn't going to help much, and only adds another component to your crossover network with unknown sound benefit.
