We had a 1992 900 w/1700 miles on it that was caught in rising brackish water during the 1992 Nor'easter in Manhattan. My wife drove it home (there was water sloshing around with the lectronics under th back seat. By the next day the tips had eaten off the fuses down there. I drove the car to the dealer and left it. they wrote me a check for the full purchase price, and said that they woould not do otherwise because of the likelihood that things would keep happening down the road. The air intake sucks up water (and is very low on the 9-5), it goes into the engine, and that's trouble. You don't knopw what kind of water it was, and there were lots of salvaged cars after Katrina. Even if a Minnesota car, it could have been near salt water.
