I wonder though how they determined it was the wrong fluid?
Did they send it out to a lab for testing or is it only up to the mech and service writer to make that decision.
Even though the fluid is green when coming out of the can, it doesn't stay green when being used going through the steering system but will take more of a transparent/yellowish color which could be mistaken for being the wrong fluid.
How big of a leak is it?
100% of these steering systems using the Pentosin CHF11S fluid is leaking somewhat, or should I say, sweating out the fluid here and there.
The fluid is so fine that it finds its way out everywhere and the reservoir is getting low now and then even though a big leak is not found.
I have to top off the Volvos to from about 2000 when they started to use that same fluid. And I can't find any leaks on the Volvos either.
