I read the message board often as I own two '02 linears and first want to thank all participants for making this site the great asset it is. My silver 2.3t has 46000miles on it and was bought new, the other is grey metallic with 48000miles and was bought used from its owner a year and a half ago for $16000 with 41000miles. It even came with BBS saab wheels and in near perfect condition etc! Since the used 9-5, was for my high school daughter's use I switched the BBS shoes to my silver. I sleep well at night knowing my daughter is in one of the safest vehicles out there. She learned to drive on the most reliable car I ever owned - a 1989 Pontiac 6000LE which had no air bags, etc but ran great when I sold for $1600 at 194,000miles with original a/c system, engine and autotrans unit and still averaging 25mpg with no oil usage! it is still running strong as a fellow with my company purchased it, repainted, etc! The '92 BMW 525 I owned was always leaking something and needed constant attention, premium fuel, lacked performance and was not the fun I experience in the saabs although I really liked its solid feel (but the saabs are quite solid feeling too!) Love the sound system in the linears!
Interestingly, both cars have had the usual items fixed under warranty:
SIDsss; turbounit; IDM and batteries. The silver needed fuel pump replacement and the grey needed heater valve replacement. Like many of you, I hope GM realizes the jewel it has with saab and think the 6cylinder/all wheel drive options will drive alot more sales. Thanks!
