Mid-yellow boost on 2002 Aero?

Hello all, I'm having an intermittent issue with extremely low boost. The car is 2002 9-5 Aero 5-speed with 31K miles, still under the new-car warranty. When the car is malfunctioning, the boost needle will barely get to mid-yellow at full throttle at any rpm, and performance is beyond poor--full throttle in fifth gear will not accelerate past 70mph.
If the car sits for a couple of hours, the problem goes away and normal performance is present. I experience this low-boost approximately every three days, usually after lots of stop-and-go driving.
This problem has occurred over several tanks of 93 octane gas, so I doubt I've gotten low octane repeatedly at different stations.
I expect some hot-weather performance degradation, but not this bad. It has done this at ambient temperatures in the 70 deg F range, but never below.
The BPC has been replaced (is that the correct term? the device mounted above the turbo with one electrical connector and three large vacuum lines).
I've dropped it at the local dealer in Plano, and told them excitedly "it's malfunctioning RIGHT NOW" because I know how hard it is to duplicate something intermittent. I was just informed they can't duplicate it, but they let the car sit for 20 hours prior to checking it. Very disappointing.
Any hints I can pass along to the dealer? I get the feeling I'm going to have to do all their troubleshooting if I expect the car to be fixed.
Thanks,
David
