Need help buying new car

On the table is:
Lexus IS300 - a bit small and the interior looks like shit. Like the quality though. Expensive maintenance
Acura 3.2 TL Type S. Nice room, quality, 260HP priced right. FWD is undesirable.
Audi A4 like the new look although the 02 lost the nibbleness of the 0. engine lacked spunk, rear seat room not much
better. It's no S4. Love the Audis and the warranty rules
Audi S4 Love it, own one, don't want two. I would but my wife does not. This will be her new car
BMW 330 Smallish, love the looks, a lot of $ for the car I feel
Saab 9-5 Aero Nice room, 250 ponies for 02, great $ deals, drives like no other car, beautiful too, FWD is a bad thing
Used M3 kinda small, love the look of it, fast,
Range Rover Discovery Lots of truck for the $, looks great, slow and expensive to drive/maintain
That's about the extent of it. I think we've ruled out the IS300, the Discovery and the Audi. Anybody want to share
some insight here? Personally, if it were my car (going to be my wifes) I would buy the Aero. Budget is under $40K
Thanks in advance
