Thanks, Dave! That may explain why it hasn't worked lately. I do recall
reading that the ACC does some 'outside temp' calculations for some of
it's settings, but didn't know the Recirc would be tied to it.
Guess I'll wait until springtime to see if it "starts to work" for me :)
The only other thing I thought might have been messing me up is that
I had the dealer set the ACC to "remember last setting after turning
off the car". My brother, who owns a '99 9-5, told me he was annoyed
that every time he got out of his car (if running errands, for instance)
the ACC would switch back to Auto mode (if he intentionally set it to
manual). So, I had my dealer set the ACC to remember last setting.
Wasn;t sure if that would have causes a logic problem when it came to
the Speed Recirc...
But, I think Dave has the right answer.
