I know the topic has been covered here forever, but I'm contemplating 'saving' the MXV's for lease end -- then I can get the better performance everyone here raves about by switching tires now rather than later. Here's my issue: 2 '01 lpt's, usually not much snow here (not enough to warrant snow tires IMO) but then you never know. Anyone familiar with the NYC/Central and Southern Jersey seasons and have any recommendations re a good (preferably not too costly) tire? I drive 60 miles a day, some highway, and am consistently moving very fast. So I'd prefer it handle better during good conditions but still be okay in the wet weather. I can just take it easy during snow, since the streets get cleaned here pretty quickly. Strength (because of pot-holes) is also a consideration. The MXV's just don't feel too secure taking turns in good weather -- so I'm a little worried now that winter is coming, especially based on many of your comments! Thanks.
