I am planing on going to get my car fixed tomorrow, but I don't want to get screwed. My car is overheating, and I don't know why. I don't think it is the water pump, because there are no leaks, and other than the little bit that boiled over the other night, my coolant has not dropped any. But what is happening, is that the temp will climb regularly to the 9, stay there for about a good 15-20 mins, then will climb up quickly. It does not seem to climb as much when I accelerate, but it does when I am cruzing. Also when I turn on the heater full blast, it will bring it back down to 9, and keep it there. Does anybody have any suggestions on what exactly could be wrong? I have a 99 se 2.3lpt with 123k. Thank you.
