Great posts..thanks. have 99, 9-5 126k miles, orig owner. turbo quiet as always, but getting periodic smoke, bluish white. sometimes after slowing down, at idle in traffic and on rare occasions on acceleration. also, have black, oily, carbon i'd guess deposit at end of tailpipe. other cars in family are clear. any correlation?? have very little confidence in saab dealer. recently threw serpentine belt, towed and replaced...pulley failure. 13 mos and 10k or so miles later, same thing. dealer says part failed. saab picked up the cost of the parts, but i paid the $80 install. although more than a few problems, mother board when new failed, 4 cid panels, etc. still my favorite of all time...ride, appointments, and still getting up to 32 mpg & i drive it hard. summary, i notice no performance issues, mileage still high, engine/turbo quiet. from your posts, pcv value could be the culprit??
