You're problem sounds really similiar to what happened to me the other day. You said the car stalled while you were decelerating (at about 20 miles per hour) and you lost everything - power steering, power brakes, and you weren't able to re-start for 2-3 minutes.
This happened to me on Monday, while taking an exit off of a busy highway. While decerlerating on the exit, my car suddenly lost power, the dash lost power (the gas gauge read empty but there was a full tank of gas) and then i noticed I lost power steering and power brakes. I could barely stop before i hit the car in front of me. I also could turn with the curve of the exite. But i managed to stop and then after a few minutes was able to turn the car back on, and everything started fine. I had been driving the car for about 2 hours before that, and it was acting fine.
The mechanic can't find the problem. He said they would guess it's the ignition switch, but it's only a guess. He said if it was the DI cassette I wouldn't have been able to get it started again. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas? I don't know whether to replace the ignition switch and go with the "guess". I'm scared about this happening again, and not being able to stop or pull over.
