Fuel Gauge Incorrect reading Posted by Darrell [Email] (#2525) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Darrell) on Wed, 2 Aug 2006 08:32:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Twice now I have been driving and the fuel gauge has gone to zero and light has come on. The first time it was up and down and this time is was just reading empty(tank is full with 18.6 gal at 55 bucks). Both times this has happen when I have been hauling rear on the highway in heavey traffic. Couple fast lane changes to get around those people who don't know that slower traffic should stay in the right lane.
Anyway, have seen posts that the baffle can come loose in the tank. Does this sound like the problem to you all? Is it possible to just remove the fuel pick up and extract the baffle from the tank or is a new tank the only answer other than living with the problem.
