2003 Aero purchase, need advice.....

My wife has fallen in love with a 2003 9-5 Aero with 44,000. It's a one owner(off lease), CPO, with all service records at the same dealership. I have looked over the car thoroughly/reviewed the service records and based on my review of previous postings on this valuable BB I have only detected two potential issues. First, the service history shows oil changes at 4.9K, 10K, 20K, 25K, 30K and 40K miles. Regarding the potential sludge problem, since I can't be sure that there is an existing issue and the oil change history may not support assistance from SAAB in the future should I request that the pan be dropped to inspect the oil pick up screen and check for sludge or just switch to full syn-oil and change every 5K miles? Also, the service records indicate that the heads were decarbonized, is this a potential problem or should I just make sure that my wife uses premium gas?
Am I missing any thing else to be condsidered? (head bolts retorqued, etc)
Thanks in advance for the input and suggestions.
