I bought a 2002 wagon 3 days ago. The mud flaps are listed in the "Saab Catalog" at your dealer's, but I forget how much they are. I have the hood protection stip on my 1986 9000T. It's a lot better than nothing, because otherwise the paint on the front edge of the hood really takes a beating. Essentially, it is real heavy black tape, contoured to fit the car. It's pretty innocuous. The hood protector strip is smoke colored plastic and fits over the front of the hood. It sticks up a little above the hood. I have one and plan to put it on, even though I already have the protection strip on my new car. I suspect it will help protect the top of the hood, and might even help keep bugs off the windshield. I don't know if it harms the finish, but it does not lay flat against the paint. There are some soft plastic nubs which keep it away from the surface. Installation looks real easy. Re the leather seats: most of the people on the 9000 BB recommended Lexol. I haven't used it.
