thanks to our good friend Google, I saved a bunch of money on ... no not car insurance, but on my XM renewal when the free trial just ran out.

You only have to pay $77 a year if you know how to ask. Let's just say that this rate is available if you tell the phone person that there's a code that will WIN you BACK. If the first phone person you try can't or won't get you this rate, hang up and try again. Search the web for more details.

Another tip - after they accept your renewal, they will tell you a procedure to get your radio back on. You leave it on ch. 1 for 20 mins, then go to ch. 7, then to 174. It just wouldn't work for me. I finally just took my cell and sat in the car where I had a clear sky shot. It took them a coupla tries, but they finally got their restart signal through.

I love the variety on XM, in spite of the sound quality. Plenty of lows, but hey guys where are the highs? Too tricky for your sats to handle?
