2003 9-5 aero trans fluid change - DIY question Posted by Bryan [Email] (#542) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bryan) on Wed, 3 Jan 2007 15:49:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
these might be dumb questions about transmission flushing, but i am new to the auto trans issues:
-if i want to flush my auto trans fluid myself, is there any harm in rigging up my air compressor to the fill tube using very light air pressure (~5 lbs or whatever allow low flow of oil) and opening the drain and flushing?
-Do I need to suck it out, and if so, would it be safe to use an old shop vac rigged up to the drain plug with the dipstick removed?
or do you have to flush using fluid to get complete circulation through the system?
