Oil leak near back of auto transmission Posted by Nathan [Email] (#2249) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nathan) on Mon, 8 Jan 2007 18:47:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a strange oil leak. After reading the forum I figured it was the rear engine seal that was leaking oil between the engine and transmission. I've checked the oil pressure sensor and it's clean. I also pulled the rubber plug from the bottom of the bell housing to check for oil, but it was clean. The oil appears to coat the half shaft. I've see a stray drop of oil from the very bottom of the bell housing, but not often. It looks like it is leaking from where the half shaft enters the transmision. Any ideas?
