Installed a new turbo but still have some problem

I figured out how to install my turbocharger and it is now finished. I'm still having some problems though. I now have a check engine light that stays on and when I accelerate up a hill, I have a real lack of power. Driving on level ground seems to be ok, it's just when the engine has extra strain on it from hills. I haven't tried the highway yet. Could this be a boost pressure problem? There was alot of oil on the intake side from the failed turbo. i expected some but not quite this much. Any other suggestions? Could there be an exhaust leak or air leak on the intake side causing me to lose pressure? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
