although that has become a popular choice of late. The owner's manual of my 2002 Aero indicates 35 lbs front and 33 lbs rear, and I find the factory settings just right (maybe they changed for 2006?). On my own commute, at these pressures I get a firm, but not harsh or fidgety ride, uniform tire tread wear (at around 30,000 a set) and very decent handling. I know that many feel the higher pressures benefit the gas mileage, but I'm skeptical about the trade-off.
If in the long run you find the ride unacceptable, check out other posts on this board about changing tire size to get a higher sidewall. That is about the limit of what you can do, but it would likely improve things a lot.
