I just did that with a remus a few months back. Worked fine. Did the same thing with a cheaper borlla or something I put on my vw and the joints leak bad. Car burns oil and stinks, but just a work ride an have not fix...
the solution is either make sure completely together and clamped with really good quality clamp(remus came it good ones other did not)
Better solution since on the saab the pipe does not go over the axle like on a vw. Drop buy a muffler shop or indy and have them weld the joint together. Cost should be 10-30 bucks. Dis advantage you have to cut pipe to remove(you will with a starla). That is not a big deal for them to do either. Muffler work sucks take it to the shop. i have swapped engines in cars but will not do exhaust work anymore. just don't have the good tools to do the job right and they are cheap as long as you don't goto the dealer.
