HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP. I'M A FIRST TIME SAABER SWITCHING FROM A MERCEDES E-CLASS.
JUST ORDERED A 2002 9-5 AERO SW AUTO ON FRIDAY - SHOULD BE WITH ME 1st WEEK OF FERBRUARY '02.
RECENT POSTINGS ON THIS BOARD SUGGEST THAT THE AERO TAKES AROUND 10,000 MILES TO SETTLE IN AND REALLY BEGIN PERFORMING -(ALTHOUGH DRIVING A 3000 MILE EXAMPLE FROM THE DEALER WAS ENOUGH TO BLOW MY MIND !)- SO I HAVE 2 QUESTIONS:
1. DOES THE ENGINE NEED BREAKING IN GENTLY - MAX REV / TURBO BOOST etc OR SHOULD I START OPENING HER UP IMMEDIATELY ?
2. AS THE AUTO BOX IS ADAPTIVE, WILL THE WAY I BREAK IT IN AFFECT THE FUTURE WORKING OF THE AUTO BOX ?
LOU, THIS MAY BE ONE FOR YOU !
