It's the Z's for sure - I had a conversation with a nice lady at Nokian down in Tenn., and she pointed out that the speed rating for a car like the Aero is important. I'm not a racer by any means, but I think that the W-rated Nokian Z is really the only Nokian choice that makes sense for me. (They have an even more expensive model, but functionally its no better than the Z.)
Here in western NY state, there are lots of Nokian dealers, but no one has any Z's in stock. Most of the dealers apparently haven't a clue, either. Several said they can't get them from their northeast distro center which is in VT - and this ranges from the top local indy to a tire store. The Nokian lady said to refer the dealers back to her if they can't get the goods from the distributor.
Oddly enough, the local Saab dealer's parts guy (I've known him for years) can get me the tires, but the shipping adds an extra $15 apiece.
Only quoted price so far puts the Nokian Z's at $172 each, incl. shipping, PLUS mounting/balancing on top of that. Sound right?
