Its crunch time. I have to make a decision between a Saab 95 Aero and a Volvo S60 T5. Both are excellent cars. The Aero seems more fun to drive - alternatively, Ford is offering better deals on leases. What is the basic feeling of people on this board?
I must say that lease deals on Saab 95 Aeros are much higher than the Volvo lease. Must be the massive depreciation on Saabs relative to Volvo. Also, there is only one Saab dealer in town and they are not much help. I asked if I could submit a bid on the Aero at the end of the lease (particularly if the Kelly Blue Book is $3,000 under the buyout). He said he had never heard of anyone doing that. I said "A friend of mine just did that at you BMW dealership next door." (same dealership, Saab, BMW, Audi, Rolls Royce are in different but connected buildings). He said "Well, people want to own BMWs for a long time. No one wants to own a Saab after a couple of years." Great salesperson!
