As several opinions have been offered (thanks), I'll give you mine. I'm leaning toward it being the fuel pump. Based on what I've been reading here lately, my car is at about the right mileage to have this issue, and the symptoms seem to fit. I've had a few long crank times from cold lately as well.

Another thing I thought of, and this is much more sketchy, is the hooter valve. Mine has been moaning occasionally for as long as I've owned the car (2.5 years). The problem is I can't find a good description of the effects of an outright failure of this valve, and not being intimately familiar with turbocharged engines, I'm not sure if failure would result in the issues I've described. Any clarification on this would be appreciated.
