Oil Leak After PCV#6 Update

Perhaps it's just a coincidence, but, after recently completing the PCV#6 update on my 2000 Aero, the car has developed an engine oil leak on the right side of the engine. The leak seems to be located near/under the crank pulley.
After going over what I had done, I discovered that I had failed to reconnect the vacuum hose going from the white check valve to the throttle body. Could driving for about a week without the vacuum line attached cause the engine oil leak? Prior to the PCV#6 update, the car never leaked any engine oil.
Any advice or comment(s) would be appreciated. Thanks.
