Ten things I love about my new 2002 Aero. (Not in any particular order)

#1. The seats are extremely comfortable and soft.

#2. The fact that I got the dealer to put in the dark wood dash.

#3. The stereo is great. 9 Speakers!!

#4. The window controls are just that little bit more forward on the center console than on my 99 9-3 so I don’t have to be a contortionist to reach them. Yes, I’d like at least 1 of those 250 horses to help raise the window but I’ll get over it.

#5. The car just “feels” solid. The fit and finish on all doors is excellent. The steering is very precise.

#6. The acceleration in traffic is great. From 20 MPH to 60 MPH you leave everyone in your dust. And I’m being gentle with it because I haven’t broken it in yet

#7. The new key, I no longer get people saying “do you have your car keys in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?”

#8. Fold down rear seats that give you a flat surface in back. Also nice that the rear headrests fold down to provide better visibility.

#9. OnStar – it is nice knowing you have it just in case.

#10. The car just looks great, inside and out. I don’t care if Edmunds says “Quirky Saab design attributes and ergonomics, uninspired exterior styling.” I still have not found anything “Quirky” about the car. So the car has the ignition in the center, when the first Saab had a center ignition maybe it was quirky but even non-Saab owners now know where the ignition is. If they moved the ignition would the car stop being quirky? I think they just trot out the same reviews year after year. (Ok, I’m getting off the soapbox). The ergonomics are top notch and the exterior makes it one of the best-looking cars around.

#11. Bonus – I love the smell of new car in the morning ;-)
