Inner CV almost wore through PS line Posted by Nathan [Email] (#2249) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nathan) on Sat, 15 Sep 2007 07:18:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After a quick inspection of my oil pressure bypass valve durning an oil change I noticed that the power steering line runs awfully close to the drivetrain. It was so close I couldn't get a screwdriver between the line and the inner CV. Sure entought, it had worn into the line. It has to be pretty thin and I'll have to replace it. I noticed that all the original plastic clips were not working and someone had secured it with zip ties.
It looks like the line should be pushed foreword further, but it runs out of room. Does anyone know how far ahead of the CV the line should cross?
