Although the Nokia 5xxx series might be in the process of being phased out, the Nokia 7xxx series is not very old at all.
I do not know how the Cell port system works, but think people used it to generate a radio mute signal for the Star Tacs, so I assume you could use it with a new Nokia phone and its respective car kit to get around the lack of mute signal. (The newer Nokia car kits don't have a simple cradle, but rather require two connections to be made)
Secondly you can integrate just about any phone that has a handsfree kit of any type into the Saab. This is only if you are willing to do a bit of wiring yourself, or pay an experienced installer.
From memory all you connect from the Nokia kit to the saab is mic +/- speaker +/- power and ground as well as a mute signal. If you didn't need your phone to charge while in the handsfree kit, you have almost everything you need for the Saab integration in a simple handsfree kit. (mic +/-, speaker +/-) All you need to do is generate a mute signal.
Again I don't know much about the cellport, but I think it can do that for you.
If not, or the additional expense of the cellport is too much, I think the mute signal is just a switched ground so you could do it manually with a seperate switch, or if you wanted to get slick you could buy one of those blinking antennas or vibrating batterys that sense the rf when a call comes in and take it apart and rewire it to send a signal to a relay that in turn switches ground. Although it sounds trick, it wouldn't be all that complicated for a good installer.
I guess what I am trying to say is that the easy answer is buy a Nokia 5xxx, 6xxx, or 7xxx phone and a CARK-91H as well as an external antenna and be done in an hour or two. (you will need a Triad and an additional bit of time as well if you have Onstar)
But if you are fairly handy and have a decent understanding of electronics, you can make just about any phone work. If you aren't so handy, you could get a good installer to do it for you. But consider that cost relitive to buying another phone...
