push and pry up at the same time.
Ok, here is a bit more graphic description:
Lay the key down with the back plate up (i.e. the button side down) on a towel or something.
Use a precision flat blade screwdriver, use a size just small enough to get into the hole but big enough to get enough leverage (see next).
Angle the screwdriver toward the bottom of the hole. The handle end should be higher than the blade size.
Push the screwdriver against the latch and pry up to open the back.
The back should open or at least pop up so you can get it open.
You really need the prying up motion rather than just the pushing part.
