where the wiper assembly lifts up. Had this problem on MY99 SW, and by lubricating (WD40, then a bit of oil), the spring force is properly distributed.
I find that the single piece wipers (Reflex) are okay, but I have to bend them occasionally. Actually left the blades in unparked position (turned of the car with the blades in motion), and that seemed to reset the Reflex type.
