Tech 2 can adjust the temperature reading. That will require a visit to a dealer or independent shop that has that tool. And it will probably cost you some money. A generic "Scan tool" will not work.
Before you go that route, though, be sure it is really off by that much. Borrow a good thermometer, and compare it's reading with the car's, preferably in the morning or evening (or both). The important thin is that the car and your "standard" be close to one another. Radio or TV readings are good, but only at the location they are taken.
Know that there are lots of things that can affect the reading. Sitting in traffic will almost certainly cause the reading to rise as the heat from the engine bay gets to the sensor.
And I hope you're not comparing your car's reading to those thermometers on Bank signs (do they have those in NZ?), because those are among the least reliable devices out there...
