Thanx for confirming that I'm not abusing the flimsy switch!! I'd say the force needed to overcome the pushbutton spring action is barely less than the strength of the crappy plastic shell. Also, the concave hole in the dash doesn't match up well with the right angle backside of the trim ring, making for poor mounting stability. I haven't yet pulled the radio and SID to retrieve the switch to see if it even still works regardless of being mounted to the dash...!!! Maybe I'll figure out how to better remount it, without sacrificing esthetics. I'll tackle this and then I'll figure out how to remount my foglights that fell out!! A shortsighted lapse in understanding the inertial and vibrational physics of a heavy glass foglight mass relying on plastic brackets for support!!
