A OBD-II reader will not show a fault code, but the WIS has a lisitng of approximately 6 different fault codes associated with the alarm system that it states will display on a Tech-II.
Low Batteries in Siren is one code, and probably the most common. Others relate to door switches, break glass sensor (hidden in the CHMSL unit), tilt sensor, hood sensor (the plunger switch near the brake resevoir), and trunk sensor.
