If this is the first time you have enough slack inside the fender so you can pull some out, repair the broken wires and stuff the repair area inside the trunk.
That way, you have a new set of wire area that can bend back and forth for awhile until they break again and at that time, maybe replace the whole harness and start over.
If you look at the harness when opening the trunk lid, you wonder what the heck they were thinking about, having the wire bundle bending back and forth.
You think they would have learned from the 9000.
