I reuse the copper washers one time, replacing them entirely at 10,000 mile intervals.
I currently use the larger Purolator filters and do not add additional oil. I initially used the A/C Delco PF-53 when it was identical to the Saab filter (extra crimp in the body as well) but changed brands when GM kept re-sourcing these filters and it "appeared" the new styles contained less media the the earlier PF-53's.
It is easier and more convenient for me to buy the filters locally than to order them and store a quantity. I do order the copper washers, buying 6 to 10 at a time, and including them with an order for pricier items.
