with the tread design and age of tire. The theory seems to be that the lower inflation of the tire allows the tire to Drive the direction of car while higher pressure allows the driver more authority and less effort to keep the car in place. Toe-in is also another great factor in wandering control. Zero toe or tow out allows the tire to drive the car while tow-in provides the driver more control through less effort. Toe seems to be more of a factor on the IRS SAABs than the old solid axle ones. I reduce my toe to minimum and use higher pressure this reduces MY effort to a minimum and less fatiguing because I don't have to fight the directional stability. I also get better tire wear.
