I love Saabs and at present have an '87,'91, '92 all 900's with 5 speeds and turbo's. Have a '97 convertable &'02 with 5 speed and '03 automatic with 3.0t. These cars are all fun to drive and, although older ones handle better, later ones have smoother ride. At present all cars that are pre '95 run great and all are over 100k miles.
Of the later ones '97 has a "check engine light" displaying. I have just replaced bypass valve on "03 and, at present the "02 is not exhibiting any problems. All of those later than '96 have low miles and have had more problems than I care to mention.
I have had 4 other manuals with turbos that were over 200k (one was over 300k)when I sold them and other than 2 rebuilt alternators I never did anything but change oil at 3k miles.
If I could find a "92 with a solid body and a trashed engine/transmission I would swap with my '92 and get rid of all "97 and later.
